Roskilde Cathedral

The first church on the site was built in the 980s. The cathedral was built in the 12th and 13th centuries. It is the final resting place for 21 Danish kings and 18 queens.


The tomb of the first ever ruling queen of Denmark, Margrete the First, who united Scandinavia.

Viking Ship

Denmark, home of the Vikings.
Today, there are still opportunities to go sailing on a real Viking ship at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde.
